Class & Studio Tips

  • Please remove your shoes upon entering our front door to provide a clean environment in which to practice.
  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.  You can relax in our lounge, roll out your mat and settle into your practice.
  • No yogis will be admitted after class begins.  This provides all students an appropriate warm up and minimizes class disruptions. Also, we lock the front door during class, so early arrival ensures you will join us!
  • Try not to eat at least 2-3 hours before your practice.
  • Bring your own mat, towel, water, and whatever you need to be comfortable in your practice. We have mats for sale in the studio for $12 each.
  • The entryway bench and cubbies are open for storing shoes and bags. Please keep the yoga room tidy by placing all personal belongings (purses, etc) in cubbies, not near your mats. We lock the front door during class to keep belongings secure.
  • Please do not wear perfume or heavy scents.  It can be distracting to others. Occasionally we use incense and aromatherapy.  If this disrupts your practice, please let your teacher know and he/she will stop using it.
  • Wear comfortable clothes, such as leggings or fitted shorts and a t-shirt. Baggy clothing can make for a less focused practice.
  • Please bring a towel if you need one for sweat.
  • Please let us know if there is anything you need by asking your teacher.
  • Always let us know if you have any injuries or special health conditions.
  • Please do not come to class if you have any contagious condition.
  • Please do not bring food or beverages in the studio except for water.
